Five YouthBuild Students Baptized video
In YouthBuild, youth ages 17-24 finish their high school education, learn hands-on construction skills, and unleash their talents to become leaders in their community. This unique educational program allows students to attend school full-time every other week studying for their GEDs or high school diplomas. On alternate weeks, they work at the YouthBuild construction site, where they receive training and experience in construction from qualified instructors.
Cloud and Fire is located in the Northeast San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, in a high crime, gang-affected community. The local high school has a 76% dropout rate, and most families have an annual household income of less than $20,000. In 2009 CFM launched the first San Fernando Valley YouthBuild program.
